Couples Counselling

“Where did the love go?.. Why can’t we connect?.. When did things change?.. Can this get better?..”

You are not alone if any of these questions have crossed your mind at some point in your relationship. Finding and keeping meaningful trust, connection, and communication takes true effort. And it can become even more challenging with careers, family life, and all else our days bring. Fortunately relief and reward is possible, and does occur for many.

I have spent most of my 14 year professional career supporting members of families and couples to find their best lives, both as individuals and as part of a greater whole. I have completed Gottman Institute Couples Therapy training, emphasizing a structured/ nuanced approach to identifying issues and implementing workable supports to help couples take their next steps with hope and purpose.

How it works:

Consult

An initial free 15 minute consultation takes place with one or both parties, to ensure the fit is good.

Intake

A 30-minute intake session for each person (individually) will take place to start the process. These important visits allow me to hear what is important from your perspective, and to gather relevant background to enhance the supports you will receive.

Therapy

All sessions afterward take place together and last either 60 or 90 minutes. Caring, authentic, and intentional work will occur. Homework may be given to keep things on track and maximize the possibility for growth.

Sessions take place in person at my office or virtually through Jane video. Some evening appointments are available to accommodate those who cannot meet during business hours.
